well, lots has changed at my house… from the cool weather that has moved in, the start of a new school year to the growth of my little family.
after recently taking, editing and sharing a small batch of photos of my kiddos, i realized how much my oldest has grown. a second grader now, he’s into the first full week of school at the fifth school of his short school-attending career. his long legs and big feet, holes in his smile where baby teeth used to be. something about having another tiny person in the house that makes the bigger siblings look giant, too.
he’s brave and smart and has taken to his new school, classmates and routine like a champ. i think it’s harder on mommy. but this month, i shared how i send him to school each day with my love (and extra kisses and a prayer of a blessed day) in the form of a healthy gluten-free lunch.
and then, of course, to ease the blow of it all mommy needs cake. a coffee cake. perfect for PTA meetings, “volunteer” opportunities or just a coffee with a friend after school drop off.
go to glutino’s blog today to get the recipe for my coffee-pecan-streusel coffee cake using glutino’s muffin mix. and be sure to enter their contest this month to win a school lunchbox and $100 worth of glutino’s goodies!
