round two of the nut butter bowl.
maybe you remember the first one i posted a couple of weeks back… the “nut butter bowl“. something tells me i should’ve been a little more descriptive with that title. but hey, it was where it all started. so i’ll leave it at that.
truly, this is not just the second bowl at my house. i eat these most every day of the week. i’m really trying to cut back on carbs, grains, and all to see if i can get my gut back in order. so the girl who usually ate peanut butter toast for breakfast and a sandwich for lunch had to do some real revamping. that’s essentially where these nut butter bowls have really taken off for me.
it fits the bill for something to chew (not just suck down, ie. shake/smoothie/juice). the small dose of fruit is just enough sweet. the other toppings like hemp seeds and cacao nibs add extra excellent nutrition. but the MVP of the nut butter bowl is the high-protein, healthy fat, delicious nut butter with equal parts yum and stick-to-your-ribs-ness.
the options are limitless, but i really liked this one. don’t worry… there will be more ideas coming.
this meal keeps me full and it makes me happy. there is nothing i miss about any grains, gluten, or carbs.
i implore you. do it.
